Alaia Beach Resort Zanzibar was created from a deep love for the ocean, the white sands of Paje, and the simple, generous way of life that defines Zanzibar.

Our Story
Alaia began with time spent on the island – walking its beaches, watching the tides, feeling the wind, and getting to know the people who call Zanzibar home.
What stood out was not only the beauty of the landscape, but the warmth of the culture. The easy smiles. The unhurried conversations. The way life flows without forcing itself forward.
We wanted to create a place that reflects that feeling.
